The Texas Auto Writiers Association (TAWA ) recently named the Volvo XC90 plug-in hybrid electric vehicle as “Mid-Size Luxury SUV of Texas.  The 32 year old media association has also  recognized Volvo SUVs in previous years. 

For the second year in a row the Volvo V90 has won the ALG Residual Value Award for the Premium Full Size Segment.  According to automotive authority, ALG, the new 2020 Volvo V90 wagon retains its value better than other cars in its class.  

Volvo recently announced plans to release a fully electric car every year, over the next five years, with a goal of 50% all-electric Volvo cars being sold globally by 2025. Volvo also plans to make all remaining Volvo models hybrids. New all-electric Volvo cars will inherit the name “Recharge” to identify them as plug-in electric hybrid models.

The upcoming Volvo XC40 Recharge will be the first of these new electric Volvos to hit the market…

Volvo Cars is working with Uber to develop a production car capable of driving itself.  The two companies entered a joint engineering agreement in 2016 and have since developed several prototypes aimed at accelerating the companies’ self-driving car development. 

The long list of complementary services available to Volvo owners just got a bit longer.  Volvo Car USA has launched their complimentary towing for life service, available to all Volvo owners.
